LF Energy Mini-Summit
Feedback form is now closed.
LF Energy brings together stakeholders to solve the complex, interconnected problems associated with the decarbonization of energy by using resilient, secure and flexible open source software. Approximately, 75% of our planetary carbon emissions can be mitigated through the electrification of energy, buildings, and transportation. By adopting an open source strategy for global decarbonization efforts, LF Energy maximizes flexibility, agility, security, and interoperability. The LF Energy community seeks to innovate at the speed of technology by leveraging both the software investments that have transformed other industries, and the open source methods for creating shared investment.

The transition from centralized fossil-fuel generation to renewable and distributed energy resources is the most significant reimagining of power systems in over 140 years. Containers, service meshes, microservices, immutable or software defined infrastructure, and declarative APIs providing interconnection, exemplify the digital approach whereby distributed computing becomes the accelerator for distributed energy transformation. These modern software techniques enable loosely coupled systems that are resilient, manageable, and observable. Combined with robust automation, this software will allow network operators and engineers to make high-impact changes frequently and with minimal toil. Open source is at the heart of this software paradigm, like it is in nearly every other industry.

We are excited to host a mini-summit at Open Source Summit Japan for the first time. Throughout this mini-summit event participants will engage with LF Energy’s diverse set of projects. Be part of this LF Energy deep dive and see examples of companies who are taking the first steps towards transforming the planet and the world’s economy.
