Ballerina: An Open-Source Cloud-Native Programming Language - Anjana Fernando, WSO2 Inc.
Feedback form is now closed.
Ballerina (https://ballerina.io/learn/by-example/) is a cloud-native programming language, tailored for network-awareness and microservices development. The reason that a programming language is dedicated for cloud-native development is, the developer spends more time integrating cloud-native technologies to their programming language, compared to the core business logic. Ballerina tries to bridge this gap by having language integrated features, such as network awareness through a built-in services concept, communication resilience, observability, and deployment technology awareness, such as Kubernetes management. It’s developed as an open-source project (https://github.com/ballerina-platform) and is Apache 2 licensed.
