Deploying Hyperledger 2.0 with Kubernetes Operator Framework - Manank Patni
Feedback form is now closed.
Hyperledger Fabric aims to provide an enterprise blockchain environment framework which provides tools for creating, manipulating, maintaining blockchains. The version 2.0 has made some notable improvements to Fabric by adding features like Inspectable chaincode packages, Automated checks, Implicit per-organization collections etc. An Operator on the other hand is a method of packaging, deploying and managing a Kubernetes application which in this case will be a Hyperledger Fabric Deployment. Kubernetes is the preferred choice of many developers when it comes to deploying their Hyperledger Fabric Application. The presentation provides a way for them to keep up with the new features introduced in Fabric 2.0. Operators on other hand will allow us to make our application highly automated by describing the various events and their resulting actions thus making operators fit for a highly sophisticated business logic in production stage. The cloud-like capabilities that are encoded into the Operator code can provide an advanced user experience, automating such features as updates, backups and scaling. All of this is accomplished using standard Kubernetes tools, CLI and API.
